School Certificate
Sir, — As a primary school teacher, I find it somewhat incongruous, in view of Ms Richardson’s outspoken criticism of present education, that she should expose her own grammatical weaknesses (July 26). Of course I could be wrong, but I have always been taught (and continue to teach) that one should say, “John Smith and I are...” rather than, “John Smith and myself are...” — Yours, etc., M. R. MARTIN. July 27, 1986.
