Fay, Richwhite and Cambridge Stud have announced that they have secured for the Goodwood Breeding Partnership a half sister to the champion racemare, Pebbles, and a half sister to the Epsom Derby winner. Slip Anchor.
These two broodmares, named Petradia and Set Sail, boast two of the finest internationally recognised pediKof any thoroughbred Imares ever Imported to New Zealand. The Goodwood Partnership was formed in June, 1985, and has issued a prospectus, underwritten by Fay, Richwhite, dated July 18,
1986, seeking to expand its capital to $lO million. Its stated policy is to purchase broodmares which will have strong international appeal at the top end of the New Zealand National Yearling Sales.
A Fay, Richwhite spokesman said that Goodwood’s purchases were considered something of a coup for the New Zealand breeding industry, and the ability to offer future progeny from these top international bloodlines would go a long way towards attracting increased international buying interest to (fee select yearling sal#
