Two awards achieved by firm specialising in kitchen and bathroom design
Scrubbers Orewa, a specialist firm in kitchens and bathrooms, has just completed a notable' double achievement. Two years ago its New Lynn bathroom boutique worked in with designer, Mr Ros Tucker, to help produce New Zealand’s bathroom of the year. This year kitchen designer, Mr Dave Ryan, of Scrubbers, who has the Certificate in Kitchen De-
sign (CKDNZ), has produced New Zealand’s Kitchen of the Year. Behind the victories is a multi-faceted team of designers, manufacturers and marketers. In the kitchen field, they have pioneered the space-age look of lacquered polyurethane, with a five-coat cabinet-finish that is extremely tough and durable. All the components are
produced by one of New Zealand’s most respected furniture manufacturers, Waugh and Hyde, who for years have specialised in period furniture with French polish and other quality finishes. As well as producing award-winning kitchens, the Scrubbers team also co-ordinates these with lacquered custom-built tables, chairs, bars, and dresser units.
