Budget available tomorrow evening
Copies of the Budget will be available from the Government Printing Office booksbop in Hereford Street immediately after the Minister of Finance, Mr Douglas, reads it
The shop will close at 5 p.m. but will reopen after the reading “for as long as the crowd lasts,” said a spokesman for the bookshop yesterday. The reading will start at 7.30 p.m. and usually takes a little more than an hour.
The spokesman did not know how many copies of the Budget would be available for sale in Christchurch.
The Budget speech and tables will cost $5 this year, $1 more than last year. The Estimates, which are in a separate volume, will cost $l5, $2.50 more than last year, and a commentary on the Estimates will cost $B, an increase of $l.
