Auckland theatres to merge
PA Auckland The only two professional theatres in Auckland will dissolve and pool resources for the creation of a new company. Mercury Theatre and Theatre Corporate will form a new theatre almost certain to be in the yet to be built Chase Corporation Mid-City Three complex in Elliot St. The new company will combine the traditional repertory theatre fare with the workshop, training and school activities developed by Theatre Corporate.
