Coal sanctions
Coal sanctions against South Africa would aid Australia more than any other nation, South African Information Minister, Mr Louis Nel, said. Australia would become richer at the expense of 200,000 black people in South Africa if coal sanctions were applied, he said. If punitive sanctions were applied and coal could not be exported by South Africa about 35,000 blacks would lose their jobs.
