Cocktail win to Auckland
PA Auckland An Auckland bar supervisor shook, stirred, and blended her way to victory in a national cocktail competition on Sunday. Suzanne Anderson beat eight other finalists after four hours of mixing drinks at a hospitality fair at the Auckland Showgrounds. Her three cocktails won
her a trip to Fiji and $5OO. One of the cocktails won the non-alcoholic award, worth $5OO, presented by the Alcoholic Liquor Advisory Council. Second in the competition, held by the New Zealand Bartenders’ Guild, was Darryl Barnes, of Dunedin, and third Mike Benefield, of Wellington.
