In making awards the said scheme provides that preference shall be given to the teachers at the University of Canterbury of the subjects of the faculties of commerce, engineering and science as well as bringing to New Zealand from any member of the Commonwealth or the United States of America Persons who are already advanced in the learning of such subjects. The said scheme also provides for the variation of the powers of Investment contained In the will of the late John Angus Erskine to provide for the power to Invest any of the monies of the said trust in any of the investments authorised from time to time by the Trustee Act 1956 and Its amendments. A copy of the said scheme has been deposited In and may be inspected at the Registry Office of the High Court at Christchurch. It Is proposed that the application for approval be heard at Christchurch on Friday the 22nd day of August 1986 at 10 a.m. Any person desiring to oppose the said scheme is required to give written notice of his intention to do so to the Registrar of the said Court and to the University of Canterbury and to the Attorney General not less than seven (7) clear days before the date proposed for the hearing of the application.
