Wedding bill
The taxpayers’ share of the wedding costs of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson at Westminster Abbey was £113,000 ($321,302), the Prime Minister, Mrs Margaret Thatcher, has told the House of Commons. The sum included the cost of street decorations, security and ceremonial services, temporary toilets for the crowds and additional policing. The-cost of catering, transport, and street barriers “are not yet quantifiable,” she said. Buckingham Palace said it would pay other bills.—London.
