By DAVID LEGGAT
A run of 11 Rothmans Soccer League matches without defeat has put New Zealand’s most successful club, Masport Mount Wellington, on course for its sixth championship title this season. Mount Wellington’s win over Majic Carpet Manurewa in the fifteenth round yesterday — both goals coming in the first 13 minutes — was its seventh in the last 11 rounds. With four draws Included, the Auckland club has picked up 25 points from a possible 33 to put itself on course for its first championship triumph since 1982.
National Mutual Miramar, which has led for most of the winter, has not had a win in the last three rounds. Stuart Dunbar, the McKee Nelson United player, was sent off for persistent infringement in yesterday’s draw in Wellington.
