Cherry Corp. full
The Roxburgh horticultural partnership, Cherry Corporation, Ltd, and Company, issue to raise $2.35M has opened and closed fully subscribed. The promoter, Mr A. J. McPherson, said, “the irrigation, earth works and shelter contractors were well on with their tasks, most of the shelter trees were in place and the first of the fruit trees had been planted. So the losses
projected for the financial year which ended on June 30 will be in line with the figures in the prospectus.” Cherry Corporation has purchased and is developing a 48ha orchard situated at Kinaston Road, Roxburgh. The orchard will be planted over a period of two years in various varieties of stone fruit and pip fruit, including cherries, apricots and apples.
