Christians to unite in prayer
Twenty-five Christian leaders from a variety of denominations will unite in prayer at Christchurch Cathedral today.
The gathering of church leaders has been called by the Bishop of Christ-
church, the Rt Rev. Maurice Goodall, to pray for Christchurch and New Zealand society.
More than 150 people attended a similar service in June at the Cathedral. Another service is
planned for August 22. The hour-long service will begin at 1.30 p.m., and will include meditations and prayers. All Christian leaders are invited, including clergy, full-time workers, and lay people.
