Ford links with Alfa
NZPA Milan Ford of America is poised to acquire a big minority stake in Italy’s State-owned Alfa-Romeo under an outline agreement drawn up by the two car companies, industrial sources said.
The ailing Italian maker of high-perform-ance cars would retain a separate corporate identity under the proposed agreement, which also calls for more than doubling Alfa’s current output of 160,000 cars by the end of the decade.
