Sir Tristram colt sold
PA Auckland The first New Zealand yearling to be offered at the select Keeneland sale in Lexington, Kentucky, a Sir Tristram colt, fetched $NZ130,200, according to the Redoubt Park studmaster, Keith Wright. The colt, from the unraced Montecello mare Satina, was bought by the BBA England, he said yesterday. Two other - lots of inerest to New Zealand breeders were sold on the first day of the world’s most exclusive yearling sale yesterday. A Green Dancer yearling from a sister to the promising young Puketutu Island Stud sire Ivory Hunter, fetched $83,700, while a Conquistador Cieio colt from a half-sister to Haunui Farm’s recently acquired stallion Tights sold for $1,674,000.
