TOURISM DESIGN AWARDS Entries are invited for the 1986 Tourism Design Awards. The Awards are made every two years to recognise good design in facilities, souvenirs, activities and any other well designed and presented tourism project experienced by tourists. This year NZTP is actively encouraging entries incorporating elements of Maori culture. To be eligible, entries must relate to facilities, programmes etc which are already operating and available to tourists but which have not been in existence longer than 10 years. Award winners are presented with attractive wall plaques and certificates. A number of commendations are also made for good design and recipients receive a certificate. In the interest of promoting good design in the tourism and related industries, every endeavour is made to publicise the Awards. The Award ceremony takes place in Parliament Buildings in November. Further information, together with the conditions of entry and application forms are available from:— The Secretary, Tourism Design Award Scheme, C/- NZTP, Private Bag, WELLINGTON. Entries and supporting material close with the Secretary on 15 August. New and Publicity Department
