Peter Sweetapple, of the Healing Papanul Club, outsprinted Greg Hume to win the senior 80km club cycling championships at Eyreton last week-end.

In the junior championship, Alex Laplanche got the better of a tactical battle to outlast lan Dickie, while in the veteran event, Alan Hood dominated again. Hood rode away
