PA Wellington The Government has turned down a $350,000 proposal from a former Race Relations Conciliator, Mr Hiwi Tauroa, for a national advertising campaign to help raise the self-esteem of Maori
people. He is now awaiting approval from the State Services Commission for funding under the education vote to undertake a limited version of the same project in Auckland and North Auckland.’
