‘Gorilla’ in pursuit
PA Auckland A woman in a gorilla suit made a citizen’s arrest of a hit-and-run driver in Ponsonby on Sunday evening. The woman and friends were leaving a fancy dress party when they saw a car in collision with two others.
When the driver of one of the cars in the accident did not stop, the woman and her friends got into their vehicle and went in pursuit. They cornered the hit-and-run driver when he turned into a dead-end street. A man will appear in court at a date yet to be set.
