The General Manager — Retail, one of four Divisional General Managers comprisingthe Executive Committee, will report to the Managing Director and will have responsibility for the profitable operation of the division within RONE objectives, strategic planning, advertising and promotion, and the recruitment, direction, training and motivation of personnel through firstline Managers. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the growth and development of the company by investigating and recommending retail opportunities and implementing these once Board approval has been obtained. The location is Auckland. REQUIREMENTS • Proven profit centre management experience in multi-outlet retail environments. • Strong marketing/merchandising philosophies, supported by sound commercial acumen, and planning and budgeting skills. • Evidence of leadership qualities and inter-personal skills to achieve results through the motivation of others. • Drive, energy and initiative to achieve profit objectives and to develop new business opportunities. • Age range 35-50 group.
