T-bill rates rise
PA Wellington Interest rates on Treasury bills rose at yesterday’s $l5O million tender, in line with recent firming elsewhere in the money market. The rates saw SSOM of 56-day bills average 15.247 per cent (last week 14.641 per cent), while SIOOM of 84-day bills averaged 15.346 per cent (14.647 per cent). Dealers bid $215.5M. Tender details: Fifty-six day bills: offered SSOM, bid $67.5M, sold SSOM, successful yields 15 per cent to 15.50 per cent, weighted average 15.247 per cent (previous average 14.641 per cent). Eighty-four day bills: offered SIOOM, bid SI4BM, sold SIOOM, successful yields 15.24 per cent to 15.52 per cent, weighted average 15.346 per cent (previous average 14.647 per cent).
