Booklet on farm package

Wellington reporter

Farmers and others in the industry will receive a booklet explaining the Government’s decisions on the farm package, according to the Acting Priine Minister, Mr Palmer. He said the booklets would explain the detail of the financial measures and would be sent to about 68,000 farmers, 5000 bank offices with rural clients, 4000 accounting firms, about 1000 stock and station agents, and 2000 Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Bank advisers. Mr Palmer said the booklets would cost the Government between $2 and $2.50 each but that the money would be well spent in putting farmers clearly in the picture. He emphasised that the contents of the booklets would be “helpful and factual.”
