Two smart pacers for United States
Xray and his halfbrother, Potkova, have been secured by Central Standardbred Agency, Ltd, Auckland, and they will leave for the United States at the end of the week.
Both horses were formerly trained at Cambridge by John Langdon. Xray, a three-year-old by Smooth Fella from the Great Evander mare, Mil-
ford Trix, gained seven wins and five placings from 30 starts for $44,000 in stakes. He was rated as one of the more talented of his age in the north this season.
Potkova, a five-year-old by Redmond Lane, also had 30 starts, resulting in seven wins and 10 placings for $25,500 in stakes.
Kenwood Stud, Cam-
bridge, has purchased the smart three-year-old filly, Little Yellow Book, the winner of three races and $22,600 in stakes. By Smooth Fella from a useful winner in Seafield Rose, Little Yellow Book is to have another season of racing before being mated with Kenwood Stud’s new stallion, Top Performer, a son of Niatross (Imin 49.25).
