Sydenham leads a tight bunch of six teams which have drawn clear of the rest to head “The Press” Centennial Cup competition for the best and fairest side in senior rugby. Old Boys, Lincoln College, Hornby, and Linwood are jointly second, one point behind Sydenham, with Christchurch a further point back. Hornby was the only side to gain maximum points for sportsmanship on Saturday, but five others were only one off that total. Linwood had a “possible” of eight for constructive rugby.
