Ellis fills in ‘Tonight’

PA Auckland The troubled “Tonight” show will have its third host in as many weeks when the Christchurch radio announcer, Ken Ellis, takes the chair tonight on Two. The “This is Your Life” host, Bob Parker, filled in last week after the departure of the permanent presenter, Cathy Saunders. The new presenter, Sue Kellaway, expects to host next week’s show after final details of her TVNZ

contract are worked out. Ms Kellaway reportedly will get more than $lOOO a show. She earned a six figure sum for her daily two-hour slot on the "Today” show in Australia. The guests on tonight’s show include the New Zealand consul in New York, Witi Ihimaera, the political scientist Barry Gustafson, and Kay Dangaarde, a New Zealander, who is now vice-president of advertising, publicity and promotion for Colombia Pictures Television in the United States.
