Driver quits

The Greymouth driver, Les Harris, winner of last month’s 3ZM II Mainfreight rally, has relinquished his association with the Motogard Rally Sport Team. Harris, who imported one of the two Motogard team Opel Manta rally cars from the United Kingdom earlier this year, had been expected to con-

test next month’s AWA Clarion international rally as well as the rest of the Dunlop New Zealand championship series. Harris is fourth equal in the national series with his former team-mate, Garry Smith, of Tokoroa. Smith, who was the motivating force to import the Opels, will continue his championship programme with the team.
