Would-be robber runs away
A would-be robber apparently panicked and ran away during an attempted robbery of a dairy in Main North Road, Redwood, last evening. The Christchurch police say the robber, armed with a knife, demanded money from a woman attendant about
8.30 p.m. However, he ran out the back door without taking money and without injuring the woman. The police were alerted by a passer-by, but were unable to find the offender. The offender made off on a 10-speed bicycle, it is believed.
