Rainbow Warrior
PA Auckland It could be another six months before the Rainbow Warrior is finally laid to rest at Northland’s Matauri Bay. A Greenpeace spokesman, Martin Gotje, said the ship could stay moored at Auckland’s Western Viaduct for the rest of the year in spitee of being ready to sink.
Greenpeace International has asked its New Zealand team to delay the Rainbow Warrior scuttling until the soon-to-be appointed arbitration commission examines the ship. “You really have to show people around the inside of the ship to get the full impact of the whole affair,” said Mr Gotje.
