Conference guests
PA Auckland Political figures from several countries have been invited to the fiftieth national conference of the National Party in Auckland in August. The National Party president, Mrs Sue Wood, said the chairman of the International Democratic Union, Dr Alois Mock of Austria, would address the conference. Guests would include the deputy chairman of the British Conservative Party, Mr Jim Spicer, and the president of the Australian Liberal Party, Mr John Valder. Three prominent members of conservative politics in Germany, Japan and the United States also were expected.
