Grain firm cuts interest
PA Timaru Farmlands Grain New Zealand Society, Ltd, a national grain merchandising firm, will cut its interest rates to farmers. The managing director, Mr Murray Gilbert, said in Timaru that as from June 1 the society would reduce interest rates on advance payments to farmer-growers 1.75 per cent. This would bring the interest rate down to 20 75 per cent. Mr Gilbert said the drop was in line with the fall in other farming sectors where finance interest! rates were beirii reduced. *
