Tenders MINISTRY OF DEFENCE - REGISTRATION OF INTEREST APPLICATIONS are Invited from companies interested in providing a total or part calibration service for general purpose test equipment. The criteria under which the test equipment must be calibrated is as follows: a. Calibration equipment used must be traceable to known national standards. b. The calibration must be carried out in New Zealand. c. The calibration service must be available 365 days per year, excluding public holidays and week-ends. d. All faults found during calibration must be repaired. The types of equipment to be calibrated are as follows: a. Meters. 1. Digital Multimeters (hand-held). 2. Analog Multimeters (hand-held). 3. Digital Multimeters digit (bench type). 4. Analog Multivoltmeters, frequency range to at least 1 GHz (bench type). 5. Analog Volmeters (bench type). Approximate total numbers to be calibrated: 560. b. Oscilloscopes and Associated Plug-Ins, up to at least 100 MHz. Approximate total numbers to be calibrated: 130. c. Counters and Associated Plug-Ins, up to at least 1.3 GHz. Approximate total numbers to be calibrated: 55. d. Signal generators, frequency range of at least DC to 1.3 GHz, levels down to at least 110 DBm, modulation FM, AM and PM. Approximate total numbers to be calibrated: 128. e. Wave Form Generators. 1. Function Generators. 2. Pulse Generators. 3. Timing Generators. 4. Square Wave Generators. Approximate total numbers to be calibrated: 55. Note: The equipment to be calibrated includes multiple numbers of manufacturers. Companies registering their interest will be expected to supply a resume of how they propose to Supply the calibration service. A shortlist of suitable prospective tenderers will be selected from those responding to this invitation to register their interest. It should be noted that this invitation is preparatory to the issue of tenders and that tenders will be sent only to those companies on the shortlist.
