The research project centres on the development and use of monoclonal antibodies for the isolation and characterisation of antigens of helminths. Applicants should have a First or Upper Second Class Honours degree or its equivalent. Those with a training in immunology/biochemistry will be preferred although others will be fully considered. Port Moresby VACANCY Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the position of: LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER — EDUCATION STUDIES Department of Extension Studies — W231004/86 The successful applicant will be responsible to the Director of tne Department of Extension Studies for the preparation of distance teaching materials in the area of educational studies. Courses to be externalized form part of the In-Service Bachelor of Education program currently offered at UPNG. The appointee will also be responsible for coordinating the teaching of these courses by extension. The successful applicant should have an appropriate higher degree, with specific qualifications and experience in at least one of the following areas: social foundations of education, education in developing countries, educational administration. Teaching experience is essential as well as knowledge and experience in the writing of distance education materials. Experience in the Third World would also be an advantage. Experience in TESL methodology as well as in designing writing and teaching English courses would be an advantage. Successful teaching experience at both Secondary and Tertiary levels in a developing country is especially desirable.
