A drop of fine malt whisky is drunk by Mr Dave Hughes, the manager, to commemorate the last day of business of the liquor wholesale firm of Mating and Company. The 112-year-old store on the corner of Gloucester Street and Oxford Terrace specialised in single malt whiskies, stocking more than 80 brands on its shelves. The new owners will carry on trading under the existing licence on the site for a limited period.
