Secretary retires
After eight years in the position, Dawson Cunningham has retired as secretary of the Canterbury Rugby Union. The union’s office at Lancaster Park will now be under the control of Warren Barberel, who was appointed executive officer in March. He will
take over the secretarial duties.
“Dawson has served the union extremely well, through one of the busiest periods of its history. We are sad to see him go,” said the C.R.F.U.’s president, Les Russell, yesterday.
