"I believe that between the two appeals we will make what we need,” he said. When asked what would be done if the appeal did not meet the cost of the tour, he said, “We will come to that bridge when we need to.” The New Zealand Government is providing security, some accommodation, and transport for the Pope and his party. Funds from the appeals will be used to cover costs of hiring venues for outdoor Masses, staging, lighting and sound, publicity, and administration costs. :
The second appeal will be on November 9.
