A New Zealand junior table tennis representative, Karl Entwhistle, beat his elder brother, Darrin, in straight games to win the under-21 boys’ final at the Canterbury junior winter tournament on Sunday. representative match on Saturday. The South Canterbury men’s team of Michael and Kevin Brosnahan, Barry Butler and S. Wallace downed Canterbury in the men’s A section, 7-5, but the Canterbury women quartet of Thelma May, Pam Shadbolt, Kath Thompson and Robyn Crook, won every game.
