Big health study award
PA Auckland Doctors and health workers involved in geriatric care will benefit from a $50,000 study award. The grant, to be administered by the postgraduate committee at the University of Auckland, was presented to Professor David Cole, dean of the School of Medicine, by the Christian Hospital Trust Board at a function to mark the trust’s twentyfifth anniversary. The trust’s chairman, Mr Murray Sweetman, said the award would enable people who worked with the elderly to learn new skills and methods of treatment. He said general practitioners, nurses, therapists and social workers would, in turn, be in line for the award.
