Cavaliers hope for TV change in stance

The Cavaliers rugby team hopes the New Zealand authorities will change their stance on televised coverage of matches in South Africa. The manager, lan Kirkpatrick, and captain, Andy Dalton, learned yesterday that the Prime Minister, Mr Lange, did not agree with an earlier television directive banning sports coverage of the tour. ‘‘Public opinion will decide in the end,” said Mr Kirkpatrick. “We are a democratic society.
