Volvo Japan
Teijin-Volvo Corporation said Volvo Car Corporation (VCC), a subsidiary of AV Volvo, will form a whollyowned company in Japan on April 25 after acquiring 50 per cent of Teijin-Volvo from Teijin, Ltd, for an unspecified price. Teijin Volvo, capitalised at 1.2 billion yen and equally owned by Teijin and AV Volvo, was formed in 1974. After the acquisition, VCC will change the name of Teijin Volvo to Volvo Japan Corporation and raise its capital to two billion yen.
