Golf cup cancelled
NZPA-Reuter New York The International Golf Association (1.G.A.) has cancelled this year’s World Cup golf tournament and plans to review the way the tournament is run before resuming the event next year, the I.G.A. executive director said
yesterday. A statement issued by the I.G.A. cited a “lack of common interest among the sponsors” as the reason for cancelling the 1986 event, scheduled to be played in mid-Novem-ber at Grand Cypress in Orlando, Florida.
