Zodiac signs

The Zodiac is a band of 12 constellations lying on either side of the “ecliptic” — the Sun’s apparent path through the heavens. Constellations of the Zodiac are: Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Capricorn. Every constellation of the Zodiac was alloted a time period by the ancient astronomers. These periods correspond to the times when the Sun was in a particular Zodiac constellation. These are not accurate any more because of changes in the Earth’s axis. Some people, those who follow the beliefs of astrology, think these Zodiac constellations have an effect on their lives.
