Tribunal’s new head appointed
Wellington reporter An Auckland lawyer, Mrs Hannah Sargisson, has been appointed chairman of the Equal Opportunities Tribunal. She is the first woman to hold this post. She succeeds Mr Justice Smellie, who was chairman until his appointment to the High Court in December, 1985. The retiring vice-pre-sident of the Federation of Labour, Ms Sorija Davies, has been appointed a member of the tribunal.
