Infanticide charge
PA Wellington
A Porirua woman elected trial by jury on a charge of infanticide when she appeared in the District Court at Wellington yesterday. Mr Christopher Ruthe, counsel for the woman, aged 25, said she pleaded not guilty. Depositions will be heard on June 16.
Judge Carruthers made an interim order prohibiting publication of the woman’s name.
