Chemical spills from truck
A man was treated at Christchurch Hospital yesterday after inhaling fumes from a drum of formalin that fell from a truck.
The man, believed to be the truck’s driver, was not badly affected. 1 The accident happened at the intersection of Blenheim Road and Curletts Road about 12.30 p.m. Traffic was delayed briefly. A small amount of the chemical that spilled on to the road was flushed away by the Fire Service.
