I PLANNING ENGINEER We are a major New Zealand Company responsible for the operation of the onshore Kapuni and offshore Maui gas and condensate fields in Taranaki. We have, a requirement for a Planning Engineer to work within the Projects and Planning Department of our Engineering Function. Assigned to specific projects, the duties will include preparation and maintenance of precedence networks; regular liaison with discipline engineers and others; the revision of schedules as projects develop; and investigation, analysis and reporting on overall project performance. The duties will be carried out within the framework of an integrated Project Control System. This is an important role in a dynamic engineering environment with a present annual capital budget for engineering works of approximately s36m. The scale of activity will increase significantly with envisaged future developments. Applicants should hold a tertiary qualification (University Degree or NZCE) and have at least 3 years experience in an engineering function, embracing a planning role in either design or construction. Experience of networking is highly desirable and familiarity with Project Management (computerised) systems in an Engineering context is advantageous.
