Drop a line
Please drop me a line if you have any video problems or a humorous titbit to share with other readers. Maybe you have a complaint — if so don’t brood, let me know at P.O. Box 24-076, East Linwood, Christchurch. Bmm Sony The long-awaited new format Bmm has been officially released in Auckland by Mr Mark Day,' the general manager of Glenmore Distributors. The Sony machine offers sophisticated features in a very small package, and I hope to do a test report soon. Clean heads Do not forget to look after your video heads. They are very expensive to replace and it takes very little to damage them. If your picture is not as good as it was (speckles and splotches, etc.) drop the unit into a reputable service agent or your retailer for a clean. It is inexpensive and could save you hundreds of dollars. Clean tapes The new IBC tape cleaning service is now available in Christchurch at the following stores: Video Inn (New Brighton branch), Mr Movie (Stanmore Road), and Quills Video Mart (on the corner of Colombo Street and Bealey Avenue). The process costs between $4 and $5 per tape, so call into any of these outlets to discuss your needs.
That’s better Congratulations to the major distributors. We are at last starting to see a decent amount of top grade movies. With releases like “Rambo,” and “Return Of The Jedi” the video industry will take on a new lease of life. These are the types of movie we have all been waiting for, keep it up.
