The economy
Sir,—Sir Robert Muldoon cared a lot for the common man. He put the interests of the man in the street ahead of proving economic theories. Mr Douglas is crushing the spirit of the majority by his policies. Sir Robert Muldoon was seen as too divisive, and was rejected by the population. His time is past. We need more politicians to seek the middle ground, like Philip Burdon, to help us survive and find our economic feet again. —
