Runaway arrested
Four young people, including an absconder from Kingslea Girls Home in Christchurch, were arrested in Ashburton on Tuesday night. Three youths were arrested after they allegedly damaged billboards in East Street. One youth, aged 17, from Invercargill, will appear in the District Court at Ashbur-
ton on March 24. Two youths, aged 16 and 15 respectively, will appear in the Children and Young Persons Court on March 24.
A young woman, aged 17, who had escaped from Kingslea, was arrested and returned to Social Welfare Department authorities in Christchurch.
