Video on becoming a parent
NZPA-AP Los Angeles The actor, Beau Bridges, father of three children, attempts to defuse the terror of becoming a parent in a new videocassette called “Creative Parenting: The First 12 Months.” “It is fear of the unknown,” said Bridges. “I know, I’ve experienced it.” The one-hour cassette looks at the problems and
pitfalls new parents face in the first year. Bridges narrates it and it also includes commentary from child-care experts and other parents. “We just show you what is going to come and we discuss ways of dealing with it,” Bridges said. “New things hit you day after day in the first year. If you know exactly what to expect, it really won’t throw you when it happens.”
