Valencia Boy to trial
PA Wellington Valencia Boy, the place favourite in the Hadlee Mobile Pace at Hutt Park on Wednesday night, will have to trial to the satisfaction of a stipendiary steward before he is al-
lowed to race again. Valencia Boy was slow to begin from his unruly position at the mobile barrier and after going up to sit parked out over the last lap was on retreat with 500 m to run. Valencia Boy was on his worst behaviour at Hutt
Park last Saturday night when playing up at the start and virtually losing all chance in the race.
As a consequence, his trainer-driver, Fred Fletcher., had gravel thrown at him and was verbally abused by a group of angry punters, of which one was reported to the police for disorderly behaviour.
After the running of the Answer Services Mobile Pace the connections of Adios Provider were advised that the horse
would be ineligible for stake-bearing events until after March 25. Adios Provider broke free of interference with 2000 m to run. The horse had also broken on the second night of the meet-
ing. Honour On, which also broke free of interference, in the Bayer Asuntol Mobile Pace, is another which will have to trial to the satisfaction of a stipendiary steward before he can . race in a stakebearing event.
