Travel agent seminars
The Affordable Queenstown programme is being throughasenesofsemina travel agents in the major gateway centres. Queenstown Resorts Limited sees th e seminars as being the first step in altering misconceptions that exist regarding Queenstown s image both within the travel industry and the general public.
Travel agents in Christchurch will be invited to attend an Affordable Queenstown seminar launching on March 4. Each attendee will be presented with an Affordable Queenstown Informational Package. The Informational Package is being promoted as a ‘Queenstown Digest’. Its main advantage is that from now on, travel agents need only to refer to
one manual when they require information about Queenstown. Queenstown Resorts Limited have already somebody in place in Auckland working out of an office situation with an affiliated hotel who will be constantly calling around to travel agents, giving them brochures and posters. A similar service is planned for Christchurch in the near future.
